Carbon window tint is a type of window film that contains carbon particles, providing heat and UV protection while offering a unique matte finish. It's a non-metallic film that absorbs light, especially infrared rays, to help keep car interiors cooler and reduce strain on the air conditioning.
Ceramic window tint is a type of film applied to windows that uses ceramic particles to block heat, UV rays, and glare. Unlike other tints that may use metal or dyes, ceramic tint offers superior heat rejection and UV protection without negatively affecting visibility or radio signal reception.
If you are looking for the maximum heat reduction possible, ceramic window film is your best bet. However, if you want a superior window film at a reduced price, carbon film is a great match. Whichever window film you choose, at Golding Car Detailing will do excellent and guaranteed work.
We charge $10 to remove film from a door and $50 for the rear window. We can not guarantee that the rear defroster won't be damaged during removal. However, we usually can as we use a steamer and bagged sweating technique for removal.
The lower the number the darker the film. 70% is the lightest we carry and 5% is the darkest. All vehicle windows have a slight tint to them from the factory. Once film is applied to the glass it must not be darker than 28% on the front two doors and 15% rear windows of multiple passenger vehicles. For multiple purpose vehicles you are allowed up to 6% on the rear windows. For all windshields the law is as dark as you want down to the AS1 line and 70% whole windshield. FL law also requires a compliance sticker on the inside of the driver door jam. FL law does allow for darker tint with a tint waiver that you can apply for through the state or take to certain doctors to sign off for as a prescription.
